Fainting Nature

Foto © André Delhaye

“Fainting nature” is a double video projection conceived from cyanotypes we made with plants from Serralves Park. We produced tracking and spiraling shots with the images, filming them in vertical and circular movements by manual action in water. These “shadows” were digitally edited and projected in an immersive video installation, with live music by percussionist João Pais Filipe, working with a set of gongs, Tibetan bowls and bells designed and built by him.

This work was originally developed in the context of the program “The Museum as Performance”, and presented in September 2022 at the Serralves auditorium, in Porto.
